Broward Schools Closed Through May 1st

Today, Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Superintendent Robert W. Runcie announced that Broward school campuses will remain closed through Friday, May 1st, due to the coronavirus pandemic. While BCPS campuses will remain closed, learning continues via online distance learning. Distance Learning

Starting Monday, March 30th, we will begin distance learning. For more information about this, please check out this page.

As we prepare for distance learning to begin on Monday, the teachers and staff will be available during the office hours listed below. There may be changes to the office hours as everyone gets in their groove, so keep watching the posts. We frequently update the PTA Facebook page and the website. You can also keep up to date by following the school on Twitter. 

Remember: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, email, text, and call outs through parent link are the ONLY forms of communication now. Please be diligent when reading through all the school communications.

Laptop Distribution

On Saturday, March 28, from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm, Sawgrass Springs Middle School and Coral Glades High School will be distributing laptops for the students to use.

You MUST complete the online registration form before 12:00 pm on Friday, March 27th to ensure an efficient distribution process. Please remember to bring your child’s Student ID Number and Password. If your child already has a computer to access their instruction online, it is not necessary for you to get one from the District.

Broward County Public Schools will distribute computer devices for students in need beginning Friday, March 20, between 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Parents/guardians should visit their child’s school to check-out the devices. For additional information and required forms, visit

In addition, for families needing internet access, Comcast has expanded its Internet Essentials program, which offers free internet services for eligible families for 60 days. Visit to learn more.
